Island Wheat

summer

A tropical resort has come to your pint glass! Caribbean fruits meet American wheat in this beer.

A hop forward American wheat ale that showcases the cornucopia of fruit presented by Calypso and Mosaic hop varieties.

History

This style is born out of traditional German wheat beers. As is customary in the craft beer movement, the style began to vary once it reached America. This style replaces the Weihenstephan yeast with a more geographically available strain. Out of the diversity in approaches, the American Wheat Ale was birthed.

Appearance

Yellow to golden body with a slight wheat beer haze.

Aroma

The aroma is very similar to a Bahama breeze. Variations of peach, pear, apple, and mango.

Predominant wheat flavor with a fruit backbone.
